The new “Elderly Rights Law” stirred heated discussion about how the new law should be enforced. CCTV reporter Ying Yiyuan talked to both the young and old, to get their take on the difficulties in enforcing the law. Mr. and Mrs Shi are a 70-year-old couple, who live in a two roomed flat in Hangzhou. Their son Shi Qingming works as an IT Technician in the US. For the last 5 years, he hasn’t been back home.
