The next in our series of stories from our week in France. Steve and Lucy Jones write... During the morning in Val d’Europe, Lucy and Seb met a man called N. N was originally from Algeria and from a Muslim background; initially he was focussed on telling us about how he and every Muslim respected Jesus as a prophet and that the Koran was just an extended version of the Bible – why would he settle for only part of the story when the full length version is available? We responded with the truth that Jesus is more than a prophet, he is God and the church is the bride of Christ. As the conversation continued he opened up about how he had done some bad things in his life and how a high flying career in banking had led him into a corrupt life. To escape this life he had moved to London where he had shared an apartment with a Christian who regularly attended church and read the Bible with him. He described this Christian as “he is heaven to me, we will be brothers until we die”. We asked if we may take his contact details so that we could introduce him to other Christians in the area who may be able to read the Bible with him like his friend in London. He was very keen to share his contact details with us and ran off to his car to get his business card, he said it was the last one left, but was keen that we had the correct details. Praise God for the privilege of being his witnesses to the ends of the earth!
