The next parrot we will profile has only been at Echo for less than a month. We are hoping that one day she will be flying free over Bonaire after a life confined to a cage. Shes a little kooky, introducing the one and only Lola!!! Name: Lola Nicknames: Lolaberry Backstory: Lola is a very recent addition to the Echo rehabilitation aviary but shes already made a big impression. Lola was an illegal pet, seized by the authorities earlier this month. We were told she was fed on a diet of mainly rice and maize. Luckily she is yet to form any fatty tumours but it would only have been a matter of time. Lola is now acquiring the taste for native fruits such as mispal and calabash! Personality: Lola is an absolute sweetie. Shes inquisitive, bubbly and just plain old cute! Lola is the girl next door; feminine yet down to earth. Shes definitely a catch and if she is able to be released she will certainly be popular with the boys. Hobbies: After years of living in a small cage Lola seeks comfort in her hide-away box at certain times. Lola loves nothing more than making slightly disturbing, loud shrills throughout the day. Her neighbour Pepe is her closest friend and they love having screaming matches with each other.
