The nice thing about getting dressed and going out to work immediately after I get up is that, by the time I get back in, Im warm enough that I dont feel like firing up the pellet stove. I didnt run the thing until last night when I was finished outside for the day. Cut my pellet use in half just by starting the outside work first. Thats the nice thing about staying up so late. I really do prefer to turn in around midnight (or later if Coast to Coast has a good program on, which they did last night and I didnt go to bed until about 1 am). The later I turn in, the later I get up. If I get up just after sunup, I can start working outside first off and save the indoor stuff for the second part of the day, which starts when the sun goes down. Im currently prepping rooms in the house for winter seed starting and soon Ill be doing all of my seed starting in the house and will be using the potting shed to transition the seedlings from the cold room in the house to the open beds or tunnels (depending on the crop).
