The night.. July 29th, 2004.. my mom had had a massive stroke & was in Southern Hills hospital. At that point we had no clue if she would live or die. My step dad said we would take turns staying at the hospital because we were so worried so he left & I was in the waiting room alone & scared to death.. A lot of strange things happen in waiting rooms late at night. I called Shannon Stoner at about 1:00 am & told her all that had happened that day & she talked to me for over 3 hours doing everything she could to make me feel safe & take my mind off of all that had happened.. never once did she make me feel like I was bothering her or that she needed to go. She even offered to come stay me.. so if there is ever a time in our lives that I can repay that kindness I will no matter what.. SISTERS BY CHOICE.. a term she chose & I love..
