The nominees for February 2014 Share the Spirit Ambassador are in and the selection committee says...................Congratulations MARTA RODE! Read on for Nicole Veermans nomination submission: I would like to nominate Marta Rode as the February ambassador. Three years ago Marta created an amazing event: PJ Day. And each year that event brings Jasper together, while also raising funds and awareness for autoimmune diseases. Marta, who herself has a rare autoimmune disease, is a source of strength for many, whether it be through her efforts on Feb. 28 or through her blog and the work she is doing to find a common thread connecting all 150 autoimmune diseases, so that doctors can start treating the diseases not the symptoms. Marta is an ambassador for Jasper, attracting media attention outside our community for this amazing cause and her amazing event, and she is an ambassador for everyone and anyone who is diagnosed with an autoimmune disease.
