The obituary is beautiful, though it doesnt encompass how truly amazing she was. She was a single parent, with a dual role as a mother and a father. Even if she was low on money, she would help. One dear friend remembers my mom buying her school supplies. Another friend recalls my mom bailing him out of jail 2 days before xmas for stupid teenage behavior :) She was a 2nd mom to many. She was a humanitarian. She opened her home to those that needed a safe place..even if she didnt know the person well. She was thoughtful. I remember sharing holidays with teenagers that needed help. She was a strong woman. Sometimes saying what people didnt want to hear but needed to hear it. She was respected by those that truly new her. Life experience is what shapes us.. She impacted my chosen profession of acupuncture and healing. I am grateful for the time I had with her. I am thankful for her spending time with me during her final days in hospice in our home. She died peacefully and comfortably. Her physical body may be gone, but her energy and spirit is still here. I am blessed to have such loving supportive people around me. I have had many questions about the service..We will be having a celebration of her life dinner/gathering coming in spring/summer. Her wish was not for people to be sad. Before she passed she told her friends see you at my party :)
