The obscenity of the American Revolution is that so many Christian pastors and theologians ardently supported this violent rebellion against the English King. What happened to St. Pauls warning to the Christians of Rome at the time of Nero to submit to the ruling authorities? Did the Roman Senate consult with Christians, Jews, or anyone else when it imposed taxes? Yet Paul said SUBMIT. But over here we had Christocrites like Matthew Henry and the other New England bible thumping rabble agitating to support armed rebellion over a few small taxes. Where is the biblical justification for that? And today, while we seem to have representation, we also have a tax burden monstrously greater than that imposed on us by England. Did you realize that both John Wesley and the Anglican church recalled all pastors and ministers from the colonies at the outbreak of the Revolution? And how many Christian denominations (like the Southern Baptists and Southern Methodists) were founded in support of chattel slavery? America was the only English speaking country in the world that had to resort to civil war, rather than legislation, to outlaw slavery! America is a nation of fools founded by violent God-hating rebels, who idolize money and power and use slick rhetoric and propaganda to make their vile doctrines sound more palatable. But God knows the truth about this nation so sadly deluded.
