The old man sat on the park bench feeling dejected. He felt like no one cared if he were alive or not. It began to cause him to be critical of others. No one cares about anyone else these days, he muttered to himself. He decided to prove this and that is what brought him to the park bench. He decided to see if anyone would stop and talk to him. The time went by and no one stopped to even say hi. He sat there with a scowl on his face. Finally he decided to do something about it. The next person who comes by I will say something to, he thought to himself. Shortly afterwards and elderly lady came walking by. As soon as she got near the bench he jumped up and said,Hi there, I hope you are doing fine today. A big smile appeared upon her face and she said, Oh thank you so much. I have been feeling down lately and felt like no one cared about me anymore. Wow, he stated I felt the same way. That day he learned that if he wanted others to care about him in a way that shows it then he had better reach out to others. How many people sit, feeling alone, and like no one cares for them but will not do the very thing they want others to do? By the way, I like happy endings. That day the elderly man and woman sat on the bench talking and laughing and had a great time together. It was the start of a brand new day for both of them. Today they are happily married and have a ministry going around letting people know that they are special and people do care about them even though at times it may not appear that way. Selah
