The older I get the less and less I want anything to do with organized Religion. Especially American Mega churches. How you can justify to live a Christ like life while destroying the earth in your hummer on your way to a multimillion dollar mansion is beyond me. I am beyond sick of the judgment and prejudice passed by people who like to call themselves Christians, the ones who try and preach the loudest are usually the ones with the most skeletons in their closet. Its not like I dont believe in God, I do in believe in a higher power of some kind, I guess you could call it God. That Jesus was a nice fella too, I wish more people would truly try to be more like him instead of using his name to make others feel bad when they dont agree. I believe in the energy that large groups of people generate when they come together to pray or worship. I have been to the Vatican and taken part in a Catholic Mass lead by then Pope John Paul, the energy created was electrifying and there was no doubt of a the presence of a higher power. It was a life changing event. Some people call it Prayer, some believe in Karma and others just like to think positive and good thoughts. What it comes down to is love. Love for your fellow human being next to you. So if you offer to say a prayer for or with me I will not deny you that. I might not believe in organized religion, but I do believe in the power of love and energy.
