The older I get the more I understand that while trials, tribulation, and heartache make our lives so much harder, they do serve an important purpose. Besides the obvious one of refining our character and making us stronger, they reveal to us what we likely normally wouldnt allow ourselves to see about the motives of those we are so willing to share our friendship with. When it all goes to hell in a handbasket look up. Youre gonna see several folks walk out, and a few walk in and sit down. Get the ones who sat down something to drink...and lock the door behind the ones who just left. And be grateful for the weeding God does in our lives. That empty space wont stay empty long...something else beautiful is sure to take root and grow there.
