The one hundred and twenty-seventh word in Scripture, - TopicsExpress

The one hundred and twenty-seventh word in Scripture, “mah-ak-awl” food, eatable. In Genesis 2:9, God created a lush garden that was not only pleasing to look upon but also pleasing to taste, to eat. Lord Jesus speaks of the necessity of feeding from Himself in John’s gospel: “I assure you: Anyone who believes has eternal life. I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. This is the bread that comes down from heaven so that anyone may eat of it and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread he will live forever. The bread that I will give for the life of the world is My flesh.” (John 6:47-51)
