The one thing I noticed that everyone in the group agrees on is that Catera is the 2nd most hated Caddy. lmao. Well I worked for a Lincoln/Mercury dealer when it was launced,and was the only Tech that worked on Caddys, Ducks from flying beercans I worked on a few for years belonging to a Limo Service that brought hearses,stretchs and sedans for me to work on. I understood Catera right off the bat and loved it. As what it was,A Opel Omega from Germany. And I strongly agree its no Caddy. But as long as saw it as a Opel I understood how it was built and was easy to fix.It almost dont belong in the group,. Like the Lincoln LS which was out the same time, Half Jag-Half Ford, Both cars drove and handled like a 300 series Benz, Could hug a exit ramp tighter than you could stay in your seat. THe LS beating out Catera with its V8 Option that would lay posi tires marks 20 feet from a stand still.lol. I only wish I could have drivin the Omega version on the German roads less the extra weight the extra Caddy stuff added to it. SO I agree Catera is no Caddy and belongs in a Opel group
