SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP The Mahikari organization was established in 1959 by Mr. Kotama Okada. Beginning in Japan, he made it possible for hundreds of thousands of people throughout the world (about 100 countries) irrespective of their religion, race of background, to radiate the Light of God from the hand and play an active role in improving people’s lifestyles, the environment and their countries. When he departed from the physical world in 1974, he was succeeded by his daughter, Keishu Okada, who enabled people to practice the art of True Light and regularly transmitted teachings revealed by God for people to create a better world.
