The other day i posted about Pixies infected tail and last week about her cherry eye.Today we have been to the vet and here is the update. The infection in and around her tail is quite serious and is prompting the vet to consider tail removal. Her tail is also growing inwards so thats not helping. Her tail has been shaved and i will be bathing it twice daily with anticeptic and applying a cream afterwards, followed by a dose of oral antibiotic until the infection is cleared up. A decision about her tail will be made on the 16th, although at this stage keeping it is not looking good. I am absolutely devastated as you can imagine. My poor beautiful Pixie is not in a good way physically, though is totally fine in herself, jumping around and still snuggling and overall happy. We are also doing one more round of steroid eye cream to try and reduce the size of the gland before considering eye surgery for the cherry eye which sadly popped out again today. So thats the update. Will keep all you wonderful and supportive people updated. So thankful for this community and all the help and advice you have all given me :)
