The other day when I told you all that I was in the hospital and that Duane was trying to manage everything by himself along with his dad, we got a message in our inbox from someone who had been interning at a local farm and needed a place to stay for a couple of weeks in exchange for helping on the farm until her next farm assignment began. Call it Divine intervention, call it good luck or good karma. Call it what you will but we call it a huge blessing and a huge relief. We welcome our temporary farm intern Lara, who is also an Air Force veteran, for the next couple of weeks. She hit the ground running today weeding raspberries and is assisting Duanes dad in planting melons, corn and squash. Weve got lots for her to do and we couldnt be more grateful for all the prayers and well wishes. Well post photos soon of all their progress. We also sent out a call for volunteers to help us Saturday for some farm beautification projects and had lots of folks raise their hands. Things are looking up and we are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel as we prepare for these babies!!
