The outpouring of love and connection is amazing! I have been overwhelmed with emotion and give my most sincerest thanks to each and every one of you for your comments and support!! But what troubles me most is the fact that MOST of you have been victimized in one way or another. A very sad reality. I must admit, as public as we are, I live a rather sheltered life, full of love, support and friendship. That has made me very trusting and overly easy going. That will not change, but I cannot ignore the simple responsibility to take better care of securing all that we have all invested in! It is my responsibility as its caretaker to do better than I have. It is just a reality of the modern day. My thought has always been, if they want it that bad, they will make every effort to get it. But I did not ave to make it so easy. Tahoe is a trusting and for the most part and open door community. It should remain so, but we have to be smart and diligent to protect each other. The local Police have been awesome and continue to move forward to identify and capture the perpetrators! Many local businesses have been affected! I feel lucky and fortunate for the mostly superficial theft. But many of you have lost great and sentimental valuables, and for that I feel deeply troubled. Let this be a simple example that everyone is at risk, its random and unfair. Nothing to do with Karma or even security for the most part. It just is..... Thank you again for all the support and love. We will endure and move on, taking a reminder and lesson in all this. Thank you for sharing..... Kindness will prevail.
