The pain and fear will be with me long after the physical wounds have healed. Being attacked at just 10 weeks of age is not something a little girl like me will forget quickly. My name is Random. I am trying not to be scared any more but it’s not easy. The big dog came out of nowhere. I had found a little food and was desperately trying to eat it before other animals came and took it from me. I didn’t see the dog coming and by the time I heard his angry bark and felt his jaws lock around me, it was too late. His razor-sharp teeth tore through the flesh on my back as he shook me like a ragdoll. My screams brought people running and I don’t remember much after that. I know I was put in a truck and taken to the place I’m in now. It’s called the Soi Dog shelter. I am being looked after by a lady called Dr. Rain. She makes me feel safe. None of my treatment would have been possible without Soi Dog supporters. Their monthly donations meant I could be taken to the shelter and receive the medical attention I urgently needed. Without them, I would have surely died. As you read this, there are other street dogs and cats in trouble. They are sick or have been injured; they have been abused or abandoned. The fact is that Soi Dog cannot help them without you. YOU are the only hope they have. Please don’t turn away from these animals.
