The pallid press is a great exercise for the abs and obliques. It is anti-rotation in nature which is great for everyone because the main function of your core is to stabilize the spine, not move it as many traditional ab isolation exercises do. You can do it with a band or cable, just make sure the resistance is enough that keeping shoulders, hips and knees level and square is a challenge.
