The paper says many cases cancer are due ultimately to bad luck. its a chance event that supposedly befalls everybody. The only way is to detect these cancers early. What I like about the paper, though, is that the authors use pure statistics to show the result. Wow - imagine the math in statistic giving original results in medicine. But - I could not help myself - for science and math to say that an event occurs by chance just means they do not know the real cause behind? After all, one of the founding principles of modern science is the Principle of Sufficient Reason, that nothing ever really happens by chance?
