The parable of the talents, Matthew 25:14-30, has often been pointed to by LoS proponents, and I had been asked to explain how it possibly fits into the OSAS frame work. For LoS the assumption has to be made that a slave is a sealed saint. If you search your Bible app for the words slave and servant you will find they are used to describe believers and the unbelieving Jews, so this is not a slam dunk metaphors. What contextual clues do we have here? Verses 24 and 25 indicate that this wicked slave believes God to be hard and to be a thief (taking what does not belong to Him). To me this indicates the wicked slave has no understanding of God. How many unbeliever do you know that does tribe God as such? What ties it up for me is verse 29. The good slave HAD something and more was given. The evil save the DID NOT HAVE lost everything else. What did the one have to begin with that the other did not? The Holy Spirit!
