The past three days has borne a thick darkness filled with many intense questions and very few answers; in fact, there are no answers that satisfy our hearts. I can only turn to Matthew 27:45-46. In the midst of three terrible hours of darkness while suffering on the cross, our Savior experienced our Why...God...Why? moment. Christ is still the Light in our darkest hours. Our prayer for all who feel helplessly trapped in this moment is: That the Light of a new day will arise to comfort us and reveal an empty tomb to renew faith, hope and love within us. We are NEVER ALONE in our sorrow.
