The patient zero theory was disproven when it was discovered that the first person known to die of AIDS in America was in 1969. He was a 15 year old African American. Although it was wasnt until almost 20 years after the young mans death the doctors discovered that it was Aids that killed him. I have been living with this virus for 20 years and did not know that there was a case and 1969 until I watched the documentary. Just goes to show you how little we know about this disease. Especially someone like myself who takes these very seriously and tries to learn as much as I possibly can.
