The pawnshop lessee of our building is sending us a letter asking for the freezing of rent (no escalation) for the succeeding years. The reasons really pissed me off because in a sense, we are being blamed for their loss of income. Will be sending a strongly worded reply telling them that failure in their business is caused by bad marketing. They said for how many years since they opened their branch, they are still unknown in the community! My gosh! You are not even lighting your billboards and lighted signs at night! You are not doing anything good to the community, no marketing strategies, no gimmicks! How could you expect people to REMEMBER or KNOW YOU better?
