The penalty for sin is taken away when asked for forgiveness, but - TopicsExpress

The penalty for sin is taken away when asked for forgiveness, but the consequences still remains. You still have to suffer with having a baby out of wedlock, you still still have suffer that disease, we still have to go through the consequences of that sin in the physical. We no longer get the punishment for our sin but we do have to suffer the consequences for that sin. For example: you bought your child a car but told them they couldnt get the keys until they were sixteen, which was right around the corner, but the child decides they want to drive it now, so they stole the car and went for a joy ride, then ended up in a car accident. The parents probably wouldnt punish the child just happy that the child is still alive. But the consequences from this act could be the child has to deal with not having that car or even been paralyzed from the car accident. But no punishment for stealing the car. Consequence means- Something that logically or naturally follows from an action or condition. But punishment means- A penalty imposed for wrongdoing.
