The perfect horse for someone wanting a babysitter, ranch or all around horse! Due to a recent death and a reduction of our Ranch (estate) we are reducing our horse numbers. One of the horses that are to be sold is Big Sky Guy a May 7, 2000 Gelding. He well be sold at this September 2014 (Billings Live Stock Horse Sale). Big Sky Guy is a one of a kind horse with Qualities and skills in every area a horse is wanted. He stands about 16.1 hands tall, weighs around 1300lbs and has a Sorrel copper look. At 2 & 3 year old Big Sky ran on the track all across Montana’s race circuit wining * races and earing himself the 2nd (fastest) high point race stallion in the North-West (MT, WA, ID, OR). After being retired from the track he stood as a Breeding stud at our ranch (Pitts Quarter Horses) for 2 seasons. At age 5 he then was Gelded and sent to The University of Montana Western Equine program where he became the Gentle Giant. At age 7 Big Sky came back to the ranch and was uses as the all-purpose kids, family friend beginner horse. Big Sky became the horse that if someone came to the ranch and wanted to ride he becomes there escort. The 13 nieces and nephews and grand kids all fight over him and pile on. Come branding time he is the horse the kids get a rope and a chance to track the calves around trying to rope. Then at the age of 9 Cassidy Nordahl leased Big Sky to run turn into a barrel horse in less than a year she had him as her main College Barrel Horse, she used him for 2 full seasons. After getting him back at the age of 12 he since has had some hazing done on him and just been being used as a ranch working kids horse.
