Im aware that figures like Warren and Sanders are there only to provide a whipped cream topping for the DC cow pie, so we arent overcome with the stench of corruption. The fate of Warren and Sanders - if they were to actually threaten the status quo - should be obvious to everyone after what happened to Cynthia McKinney and Dennis Kucinich. Both McKinney and Kucinich saw nearly every bill they sponsored die a slow agonizing death by committee. I wish more Americans were aware that even if a true progressive could win election without support of the corporate media or huge corporate campaign donations, they would never be able to single handedly alter the nature of the corporatocracy. As long as Sanders and Warren are allowed to make a little ineffectual noise now and then, those who most need to maintain faith in the system - either from want or from satisfaction - can hold fast to the myth that our political system is a democracy. If Sanders and/or Warren ever were to truly threaten the status quo, the Democratic knives in their backs would out-number the number of Republican knives in their chests. via Richard Falzone
