The plan of these GE mosquitoes, is to breed with the wild mosquitoes. They claim when the male GE mosquitoes sperm enters the wild egg, the offspring will die, and the GE male who just did the deed, will die. No third-party, peer reviewed studies provided with the claim on Oxitecs website. Furthermore they claim the bite of a GE mosquito is no different, just like Monsanto claims GMOs work. Furthermore if this does work, it will diminish the mosquito population, and depriving the many native bats of Florida to feed, leading in their eventual decline in population, and perhaps one day extinction. Hawks, Owls, Raccoons, Weasels all eat bats. Lets keep the food web intact and take action to stop this ridiculous experiment. Its a waste of tax dollars, its funding a company just as bad as Monsanto, and most importantly, there has not been nearly enough studies to even bring make this a reasonable conversation.
