The plank is one of my favorite core exercises. Today Im showing you a variation, inspired by my husband because the only way I can get him to do plank is if there is movement involved! For this well be in elbow plank. When youre in plank make sure your abs are engaged by pulling your belly button into your spine. Keep your spine and neck neutral. Once youre set in plank, bring your knee in towards your elbows and then straighten your leg back without touching it to the floor, if you can. When you do this move, try to keep your booty from lifting too high. Although your booty will move a little, you dont want to raise into a pike position. Try doing 10-12 reps on each side for 2-3 sets. Dont forget to let me know in the comments below how you did! As with all exercise, listen to your body! If you feel pain or discomfort, modify or stop! Dont injure yourself!!
