The political news is speaking of hat tricks and maneuvers and the game clock. The economic news is painting a picture where no one wins and catastrophic default is imminent. The humanitarian news-- well that doesnt really exist, but if it did it would speak of the long term effects of, not a single administration, but, the unchecked effects of greed, corruption and disregard for the things that matter to us as human beings. If we look away from the Democrat v Republican score for just a moment, we might see some other indicators, like our declining education standards and increased racial prejudice, that make us wonder what we are really fighting for and whom we are fighting.
