The political parties play an important role in our pluralistic democracy; our democracy cannot exist without them. Therefore, we must guarantee their safe operations. Having said that, we on the Tèt Kale side of the political spectrum condemn energetically and unequivocally these terrorist acts perpetrated against the local of the Fusion Party. The #Lavalas terrorists are using intimidation to give the impression that the political environment in Haiti is not conducive to the holding of peaceful elections. Intimidation is a psychological weapon terrorists use to coerce the population into not living their normal lives. We had seen such tactic in play by Al Qaeda with the 9/11 attacks on America. Then NY City Mayor Giuliani had chosen not to play their game. Thats why on the day of the attacks, he had ordered the people of NY to continue to live their normal lives and not allow themselves being intimidated by the terrorists. So in light of that, I am urging my courageous Haitian people not to play the game of the Lavalas terrorists trying to coerce them into believing that it is not safe to participate in the upcoming elections. We have to and must defeat them by taking the streets and vote them out. If we do let them intimidate us and not go out on election day to vote, they win. If there is going to be a winner in this fight for the conquest of our democracy, it has got to be US, not them.
