The politics of hatred, stereotyping & alienation are most powerful when missiles are raining down, sonic booms going off, when you are hearing red alerts & running for cover within 15 seconds to spend hours shaking in shelters or stairwells with terrified children & pets - Worse when you have no shelters & are being cynically used as cannon fodder in Gaza by those islamo fascists who happily will sacrifice your expendable lives - The politics of hatred, the self fulfilling narrative of the evil other of the necessity of separation nurtured by some from birth becomes a tempting & contagious reality - if you let it & then Hamas & the islamofascists have won a real victory - if all Arabs - all Jews become the other in our minds, that is a victory for those who have no moral compass . Judging a person by their individual character rather than the stereotype that manipulators would like you to see - that is what the marvel of a free society is about & that is when you can really stick two fingers up at those who would seek to destroy us as human beings.
