The new project requirement of a fundamental extension in morality though is not something that can rapidly be developed in-house. In fact Im pretty sure that would be a shoulder shrugger even down in research. But I can tell you this, asshole algorithms have come a long way since Hardins day, and were on the cusp of developing meaningful learning systems. So, you know...try not to look so glum. Its better to focus on the solution (the engineering fix), however remote, than get mired down in the problem (assholes). Because if the focus is on the assholes to angels program, frustration and a downright sulky disposition is the likely outcome. Anyway, thats the engineering departments point of view. Marketing will probably tell you something different.
