The portion of the Little Miami River that flows through John - TopicsExpress

The portion of the Little Miami River that flows through John Bryan was a vital, economic source of power for the early settlers in the 1800s. Many mills were built and later abandoned as technology advanced. One of the gristmills, the Clifton Mill, built in 1869, is still in operation today and can be visited in the village of Clifton. John Bryan State Park, established as a forest park in 1925 and declared a state park in 1949, takes its name from an ambitious businessman who was responsible for preserving much of the area as a state preserve. ohiostateparks.org/johnbryan#history
