The powers that be have instructed me to apologize to Christians. I realized in discussing how the common Muslim isnt to blame, but the ideology embodied in the Koran/Quran is what leads to radical Islamic terrorists, etc. This is also the case with Christianity… it isnt really about the believers… its about an ideology and how the religion has been used in various ways. After all, Jesus referred to his followers as sheep so you get the idea. I mean you cant necessarily blame somehow who is being taken for a ride… I should know… Ive been there. When first discussing my GREEFS model (Government, Religion, Economics, Education, Family, and Self) somewhere along the way I lost track of what I thought was the actual enemy - religion. Of course, we could get into a discussion about how so many Christians claim they arent religious and how its a personal relationship and all that bs, but the fact would be that they would have no knowledge of Jesus except via the Christian religion so that argument? really makes no sense. Anyway, so from now on Ill try to stick to ideology and not attacking believers and whatnot for their mistaken beliefs. In a way it would be somewhat equivalent of chastising a mentally handicapped person. It isnt that believers have a learning disability in the way you would speak of someone that is actually cognitively impaired, but you could definitely say that their thinking has been retarded by various beliefs which defy reason and logic and puts the mind into an intellectual mode of cruise control easily manipulated by right-wing talking heads, etc.
