The present electricity crisis is due to broken transmission & distribution system which had been ignored in last 15 yrs like no worthwhile generation projects were started during this period. As we try to put extra load on the system for sehri and iftari, it collapses. To make matters worse, the transformers purchased during previous regime were made with scrap iron which breakdown in high temperatures. Rs 4 billion world bank loan to upgrade transmission system in LESCO remained unutilized during last regime is one example of apathy. Govt is making constant effort & with new projects being started and upgradation of transmission & distribution system we will fix the energy crisis within remaining four years IA. But, it requires stability so that foreign investment can come in otherwise crisis will get worst.
