The president of New York city police union spoke out at a press conference today regarding the recent accusation made against police. He said that the major needs to come out and unequivocally show his support for the police, and tell people not to resist the police. He further when on to slander the reputation of Rev Sharpton an said that he was instigating more unrest between the police and the community. Any Black or Hispanic person who lives in the five boroughs who saw or heard this news conference knows that the president of the New York city police unions that he, his comments and his rhetoric are out of touch with what truly is happening pn the streets. If the president of the police union really wants to know what happening on the streets. Than let him meet with the various community leaders and elected officials to hold town home meetings to hear from the decent Black and Brown people who are law abiding and live in the five boroughs. The major was quite appropriate when running for election , when he coined the phrase tale of two cities. The president of the new york police union is grossly out of touch and a real detriment to the real change that needs to occur in the city. He cant recognize that there are some within his ranks that have lost their ability to serve the decent people of New York and should be removed from the force. Policemen are not above the law, nor are they a law unto themselves. Cops who violate the civil rights of others need to be arrested, prosecuted , convicted and sent to jail, period
