The presidents and his deputys move to take home a salary less by 20% is quite commendable but may do little to address the perennial problem of high public wage bill.There is still too much wastage in government due to corruption,ghost workers,new county governments and the ever skyrocketing appetite of the legislature for generous perks.The cost of living is already on the rise largely due to the expansion of VAT net,high energy prices,inefficient transport infrastructure and corruption.Tackle these first and there will be no need to touch civil servants pay.
