The problem with alot of christian teaching on finances and wealth is that God only gets glory when we suffer through missed opportunity, lack of financial security, have less than what we want, or remain in the same financial problems throughout our lives here on earth because that somehow proves to God that are focus was on Christ and heaven the whole time we were living here in our natural lives. Lets make one thing clear. Gods only goals in your natural lives arent just that you obtain spiritual things for example like spiritual gifts or just your salvation. God seeks to be glorified in every area in your life. There is no verse in the bible that says when you lack financially and just give God glory the father in heaven is pleased with your situation. The problem is that we only put aside the church and struggles as the areas where we exercise our faith and we dont realize that God seeks to be glorified in every situation in our lives. What does this mean? When God seeks to be glorified IN UR LIFE it Doesnt MEAN THAT WHEN UR Lacking IN ANY AREA IN UR LIFE YOU JUST SAY GOD I GLORIFY YoU AND I PRAISE YOU AND THEN GO ABOUT UR LIFE AND BRAG ABOUT YOUR LACK TO YOUR CHRISTIAN FAMILY AND SAY OH BUT GOD Is STILL GOOD! HALELUYAH! -DONT GET ME WRONG. GOD IS RECEIVING SOME amount of glory from your praise and appreciation. But is that all the glory that God can recieve out of the lack of those areas and situations? No. God can recieve MORE glory by providing those needs and WANTS in a way that Reflects even without you telling people how God fulfilled your need. God WANTS TO BE ACTIVE in EVERY Area in your life. And if you view certain areas as accessible to God over others because your trying to be the best christian you can be in all the spiritual areas for example: God give me spiritual gifts, but I dont need a car, that old car you gave is just fine I love you anyways God and give you glory because its still working. Or God anoint my voice to sing at church, and bless me at my job, I know my boss doesnt respect me, but thats okay because I know you love me and I may not have the income I want to pay for my college education, but you are still awesome God. Thank you Lord for giving me another day to live. -these kinds of prayer are beautiful and appreciative. Nothing wrong with these prayers EXCEPT that they are limited by the Idea that God has no desire to bless these types of situations because they are not spiritual enough to God for him to care about them. And therefore the person praying doesnt get any solutions to their problems because they dont allow God to recieve more glory in their situation by changing their approach to their needs and wants or by giving God access to those situations to change them because their perspective on Gods will in those types of areas is limited by their mentality. God wants and seeks to be active on every level of our life. Money. Job. Education. Security. Social life. Family. Friends. God wants glory out of all of it. And he doesnt get the glory he deserves by simply getting the praise of a person who appreciates him in the lack of needs and wants met in those areas. He can get more glory out of you if you open your mind to how capable he is to changing those situations and give him access to fulfilling your needs and wants In those areas in your life. If you allow God access to these areas and ask him to bless these areas and get specific as to what you need and want. God will respond and will fulfill those needs and wants according to His Will. Stop limiting God thru a its okay to lack life mentality. If you want that new career, new job, new car, better friendships, better relationship, better finances, better house. Things earthly and heavenly. Let God show you how to get them. Once again. Let God show you how to get them. Because he has a plan to fulfill your needs and wants. Hes not a genie, hes your Father and he cares about your well being. In every area in your life because as your Lord and saviour having access to those areas in your life allows him to increase His glory and bless you as a result.
