The problem with citizen journalism is now graphically evident. The past week or two, video images of women stripped naked by mannerless men have circulated on the Internet. These women are mothers, daughters, sisters, employees, wives and even church members. Yet, no attempt was made by the video makers to conceal the womens identity. I can imagine the pain of relatives and colleagues who have to watch these videos. The advantage, however, is that the message is passed to the target audiences (and action is taken). We shall have to bear with this weakness for a while. Public education must, however, start immediately.
