The problem with the world now is (when generalized); deeply embedded in the capitalist system. The main underlying machine which makes it work is the competitive nature of human beings. The more cynic we are, the better the market is going to work, because self-interest will drive us constantly to be better than others. Now when you live in a world which emphasizes competition, which tells you that you need to be the best & it is the the survival of the fittest; we, human beings in general are CYNIC. Cynic people dont co-operate, dont think about welfare; & even when they do think about welfare of general people, they do so for their own self-interest! How do the leaders expect more co-operation & empathy, when they advocate Capitalism and competition? What can be the alternative? Is there no system which suggests advancement through co-operation? Or are human beings cynic by nature?
