The proliferation of coffee shops in the country is surely a borrowed culture, brought about by a lot of factors such as colonialism and globalization... These small social spaces have become an extension of communities where people sit down and perform their rituals of drinking coffee while reading a book, the daily, or small chat with friends. The ambiance of well lit nooks and comfortable chairs are made for that purpose. Although these are extension of community spaces-they are not a place for all purposes... They are not bars or taverns where you play loud music and heckle. Its not a place for frolicking. They are definitely not extensions of your house! I hate people(mostly young feeling cool college students) who enter these places just for the heck! Lalo pa finals ko bukas!!! Mga gago! Ptn#@ niyo! Wag kayo feeling cool at maingay!
