The public are increasingly determined to stop Cameron handing the NHS to American private health insurance and drug companies Do not be fooled by more lies at the conference, remember his promise not to touch the NHS ?Just look at it now as he deliberately engineers its downfall so that people will say, anything is better than this, let him pass it on to private care if it works THAT is the honey trap and that is when the charges will start and the historic premise of free at the point of need will be destroyed by American avarice and shark like greed. This morning Suzanne posts... Suzanne Kelsey I am so angry, this week alone I have learnt of separate horror stories from two close friends about what is happening in our hospitals, and I am very upset on their behalf.... It is horrific.. One is a hospital in the south and another is in the north so the monster chaos, confusion and destruction is everywhere as we predicted. I am in a discussion about this on a save the NHS group and this is my input this morning when someone suggested it is no good just debating this on social media... There are rallies and protests all over the country, the people of Stafford have fought valiantly for a few years to save their services, 50000 of them, ask my friend BrianCox (and Stafford is not that big a town) took to the streets and are even camping out in a field next to the hospital to protest. There was the Jarrow march recently, ask my friend Prue Plumridge and personally I have been on many marches and meetings in various places., ask my friend Deborah Harrington. People write letters and like me go to voice their disapproval to their Tory MPs and pen letters to the newspaper, hopefully another of mine will be in there today concerning our local hospitals and it is surprising how many people read them as I have met people in the course of my business, who comment on them. We have signed numerous petitions and managed to force debates in parliament but despite labours sterling efforts to oppose the draconian and shameful reforms, including many others of course, eg ATOS, it has all gone ahead with few concessions and ordinary people are in total despair. People join their CCGs or in my case try to set one up and have their say, but unfortunately it is all falling on deaf ears...The mighty corporate machine is going full steam ahead and political ideology is affecting the lives of thousands of sick and disabled people. They are determined to privatise our NHS and destroy what is left of our welfare state and the most vulnerable are suffering, with an alarming increase in mental health problems and suicides, (figures just out this week) whilst front line medical staff struggle to prop it up. I have this week listened to so many real life stories of first hand shocking experiences in hospitals. I honestly dont know what the answer is, does anyone, apart from the people fighting to save their services as they are in West Cumbria at the moment and voting for labour whom I feel as they had to last time after inheriting an impoverished and neglected NHS, will save and improve what is left of it….
