The purpose of Abiding Presence International Alliance is to radically establish Kingdom Ministries. Google Dictionary definition of radical is a radical overhaul of the existing regulatory framework. In this day that the church of Jesus Christ is told so much of what not to do, what are we supposed to do to make a difference in our world? Looking back at history, the early Apostles were those who turned their very world upside down with the preaching of a resurrected Christ. Many gave testimony as they went to their death of the goodness of God. Men and women gave their lives so that we could have a copy of the scriptures to read for ourselves. The first institutions of higher learning, i.e. Harvard, Yale and Princeton, were established so that men could study the Word of God for the ministry. Many of the first hospitals were established by the Church of Christ. Christian businessmen such as Rockafellar built a church at the center of each new town before he built a factory. So what has happened to the radical nature of the church today? We are not revolutionary just because we move worship from 11 a.m. to 10 a.m. Neither are we radical when we are recycling the same people between affiliate churches and ministries. Also, we are not radical when all do the same thing, the same way! I believe that the church needs a severe overhaul of its existing framework if it is going to be the relevant, life-giving, glory manifesting entity which God created it to be. Its time for the church to take its head out of the clouds attempting to figure out when Jesus is coming to rescue it from this mean cruel world and begin to exercise its delegated authority and manifest Kingdom life here on earth, in every sector of society. -Apostle C.
