The question, WHY? is perhaps the greatest one on earth! Often, a young man sees a beautiful lady, walks over to her, says I love you and gets dumb-struck when she says, why? No! No one did that to me. Okay, someone did. God. One very remarkable activity I found out recently I enjoy doing is talking to and hearing from God with an attitude laced with fun and play.. While I was catching fun in prayer earlier today, I said: Father, I hand over the enemy of Nigeria today, Boko Haram unto the devil...... Why? That remark jolted me. In a quick form of defence, I told the Lord: You showed me in your word in 1Cor 5:5 and 1Tim 1:20 that we should do this for those who pay heed not to your word. I felt His silence. What He told me next confounded me. This is wrong thinking. Queer mindset. What is the new commandment I gave you? Love one another as I have loved you...(John 13:34), I readily answered. Even bloodsuckers? Well, I love kidnappers, child molesters, robbers... Enough!..... What the Lord explained thereafter was mindblowing. Anyway, Nigerias foundation that makes the evil to persist has always been faulty. We worship God with our lips and our hearts are far off. No one dines with the Lord and frolick with the prince of the air at the same time. We need a new mentality that says that all we will ever gather on earth will definitely become immaterial when this same earth catches fire on that great day. God bless Nigeria even if her expression does not depict His character one bit!
