The radio in this picture costs over $17,000.00! I need to know if I am the only person in the universe that thinks that it is absurd to pay this much for a ham radio. Also, is it just me, or does it look like this piece of crap was made circa 1975?? The design is old fashion and ugly. Finally, how come modern technology has brought the cost of a decent dual band VHF/UHF handheld radio down to as low as 18 bucks, but ALL HF equipment is going up significantly in cost, despite technology that makes it simple enough for a junior engineer to create a new design in only a couple of months? Come on folks, lets stop enabling these corporate losers and stop buying this over priced crap!
