The rapid support forces forced hundreds of Civilians to displace 23rd December 2014 South Darfur-ALSALAM IDP Camp near NYALA city- 23rd December 2014 A group from the Rapid support forces on two 4x4 vehicle, killed 2 IDPs, Abokora Teatea and Al-Zain Adam, at the outskirts of ALSALAM IDP camp, the incident happened at a distance not far from the police and the UNAMID. East JABAL MARRA villages On the same day another group from the rapid support forces, on approximately 200 vehicles (4x4) attacked WADI MURRA, ARASHAWA, ATINGARAR, UMDAJA and UMALI villages in east JABAL MARRA, forcing hundreds of civilians to displace. SUDO UK calls on the Government to disband the Janjaweed and all other pro-government militias, and bring those individuals or groups responsible from committing human rights violations to justice SUDO UK calls on UNAMID to take strong action in order to fulfil its mandate, including its obligation to “prevent attacks against civilians, within its capability and areas of deployment, without prejudice to the responsibility of the Government of the Sudan”, and the requirement “to investigate and hold accountable those who are responsible, and promote efforts to disarm the Janjaweed and other militias”
