The raw food/vegetarian path is philosophically based within the “culture of life” whereas the dead-food diet is based within the ever prevalent “culture of death”. The correlation between our biological aging(physical state of aging), psychological aging(mental state of aging), and chronological aging(age measured by time) is important to examine. The psychological stresses can create biological markers such as wrinkled skin, dark puffy eyes, hair loss, and lack of sufficient movement over the duration of our lifespan. The most accepted theory of aging is based in chronology, which attempts to predict the general markers for aging based on number of years one has lived up. From 1912-1940 a Nobel Prize laureate Dr. Alexis Carrel performed an experiment where he kept cells from a chicken heart alive and reproducing for 28 years (the average life span of a normal chicken is eight years). He was able to do this by keeping the cells in a clean environment with the proper nutrient/mineral balance, pH, appropriate temperature, and replacing the solution daily to remove any toxic wastes. The cells actually did not die on its own after this 28-year experiment, they simply stopped the project. This is one more indication that we are not inherently programmed for age-related dysfunctions or possibly even death as we may have believed.- Ronnie Landis The Life Food Peak Performance System
