The real act of marriage takes place in the heart, not at the ballroom or the reception, or the church or the synagogue. Its a choice we made before God - not just on our wedding day, but over and over again - and that choice is reflected in the way we treat our husbands or wives ~ I never stop trying or doing the best I can and I think Elizabeth knows it because in our communication we learn and appreciate each other more...it is twenty years December 20th and we keep learning and becoming better at it with each day. We are a gift to one another and our flaws remind us to look up to the heavens and remember that who ordained our roles, our designed love and genuine goal to be the best we can for one another is the same God that will always prevail (thats why we try to put Him first). And with all the fights big and small, kids, dumb husband and financial challenges that come, there is one thing that I would not change...the woman who walked this tough walk with me. (because as we get closer to God...it gets gloriously easier and more rewarding every day)
