The reason I posted this two people I know very well who are avid Reagan haters both swear he said something in one of his speeches about this Nation still needing ditch diggers during a jobs recovery time while he was in his office. My ancestors dug the sewers in St. Louis a fact I am proud of, and on my mothers side they as a family picked cotton even the kids as young as 4 and 5 had to pitch in because they could not be left at home alone My Mamaw picked cotton my Aunt Bea still a baby strapped to her back with my Grandpa and 3 youngens at her side day in and day out except for The Lords day. Those jobs have both either been industrialized by machinery or taken over by ILLEGALS!!! I have searched the web furiously trying to find this quote by Reagan to no avail !!!!!
